My journey to full time RV

Hey everyone,

It’s the new trend going around these days, I’m talking about selling it all and living life on the road. Have you heard about full time Rving? Pretty much all over pinterest, and if you haven’t heard them you’re missing out! I know some people might think I’m completely crazy, and well they might be right I’m ready to join the rest of y’all and live life on the road. I’ve always loved being outdoors, pretty much always up for an adventure. Growing up we used to camp all the time, and I absolutely loved it. Having two younger kids myself , I’m excited to share my love for adventure with them at a young age. I’m going to share out experience, how were doing it, cost, and the dirty side of things.

Starting out we are joing my parents, who happen to be doing full time rving themselves. We are thankful to have this opportunity, and learn different tricks they have. They have been camping for many years, and decided to take the jump and go fulltime. They just got rid of everything at home, and our leasing out their home. My kids and I will be camping with them at the one and only… drum role please…. DISNEY WORLD!!!! it’s a dream come true, now if you’re not a Disney junkie like we our you won’t understand it, however those of you who are a Disney junkie you are probably jumping up and down for me while reading this!

I can’t wait to share with y’all or adventure at Disneys Fort wilderness campground. Fun fact about this campground is, I grew up camping here and now I get to do the same with my kids 🙂 If you have never camped here, you’re missing out. There’s much to see and do without going to the theme parks. We will only be going for one week during our two month stay. However, don’t worry, we will have so much other things that we will be doing and Sharing with y’all.

I have a lot to catch y’all up on, I can’t believe we have been here for 3 weeks so far! They say time goes by faster when you’re having fun. Well they are surely right about that. So let’s get y’all all caught up on our RV life for the past three weeks! We started out in Norfolk, where my kids and I flew to Orlando. My parents were already at the campground all set up, waiting on us. Our flight was quick, which I’m very thankful for traveling alone with a 4 and 7 year old.

We arrived to Orland international and got on the Mmagical Express 🙂 what better way to start you’re Disney vacation than riding on the diseyes bus. My kids and myself were so excited, we boarded the bus and sat back watched a Disney movie and enjoyed the ride to the happiest place on earth!

When we arrived at the campground we got on a Disney bus that takes you into the campground. My parents were happily waiting on us at the bus stop. Side note, we don’t currently live in the same state as them so you can imagine our excitement seeing them. We arrived late, and were starving. We hopped on a bus and went to one of the restaurants, we had a quick bite to eat and then headed over to the beach/ marina to catch the fireworks from the magic kingdom. Talk about a warm welcome 🙂

after the fireworks, we headed to the pool for a late night swim. We had the pool all to ourselves! What a great way to start our trip. As you can imagine we were completely exhausted from the trip and slept very well that night.

Day 1! My sister was flying in, we were having a girls trip this weekend for her wedding. She got in very early! Like 6 am early!!! We went on a walk to the beach and had some sister catching up time while everyone else was sleeping.

We had breakfast, and some much needed girl talks 🙂

There was so much excitement, things to see, new palaces to explore. We got the kids up and fed, then we hit the floor running. Were off to the pool. Good thing about Florida is it’s pool weather year round. My kids ware so excited to go swimming. They have a splash pad and slides at the pool, they are little fish and love the water. We had a full day playing, and relaxing under the sun. We headed back to the camper for some dinner, and then went to the famous chip and dale campfire sing a long. I remember this from when I was a little girl. I’ve always loved going to the campfire and roasting s’mores!! Idk about you, but this girl loves her s’mores.

It was a successful first day. The next 3 days were for my sisters girls weekend, she’s getting married next month!!! My dad kept my kids for me. For the girls trip we stayed at Disney’s Bay lake towers. One of my favorite resorts. I won’t go into to much about girls weekend, however we had so much fun and laughs.

How I Find time to workout

Hey ya’ll! I’m here to help you find time to workout. I know were all busy, you have a million things on your plate, and somehow your supposed to fit working out into all of this. Trust me I understand, I just started on the journey of private online school with my son. I’ve always wanted to do homeschool, however I didn’t want to hold him back, or not be teaching everything he needs. So here we are, doing a online school and trying to get used to a routine, usually my fitness would get pushed to the back burner. However my health and fitness are important to me and I make it a priority. If you want something bad enough you will find ways to make it work. I’m going to share with you what works for me, and what I do when I don’t feel like working out, because let’s be honest I don’t always feel like it, or in the mood to workout.

Ask yourself, why? Why can’t I find time? why can’t I be motivated? why do I always quit when it gets hard? why does it even matter? I’m not a athlete, why do i need to workout? why will this help me? the list of questions can go on and on. However if you are wanting to make a change you need to change your mindset. Start asking yourself how instead, how will this help me? how and I going to do this?  How will this affect my health? How will I see results? How can I better myself? When you change your mindset you start seeing things different. Instead of making excuses and asking why does it even matter, and start asking how can I benefit from this you will be eager to start making changes to better yourself. 

So, How are we going to fit this in our busy life? Well guess what? you don’t have to spend hours, and hours in a gym to be healthy, you don’t have to only eat chicken and rice, you don’t have to give up stuff you love, you can have your cake and eat it to! I used to do crossfit, I would spend hours and hours everyday working out. I would go twice a day and push myself to my limits. I loved being in the gym and working out. I would measure everything I ate, and wouldn’t dare eat any sweets. It consumed me, everything I did was about crossfit, and for crossfit. I didn’t see it at the time, however looking back I realized how much time and energy I put into. I got upset with myself because it took time away from more important things, and I didn’t even see it! I took a break from crossfit, had another baby, and then started back up. Only this time it wasn’t my everything, it wasn’t my drive. I bought some equipment for my garage, I was able to spend more time with my family and less time at the gym. I started to realized I could get a good workout in at home, while still spending time with my kids. Time has passed yet again, My husband is in the navy so we move a lot! I ended up getting rid of all my equipment and  now only use dumbbells. You don’t have to give up stuff you love, you can have the equipment at home, however for me moving it all the time is too much. I love doing at home workouts, and just using dumbbells. I’m able to get in a workout anywhere at anytime. Kids want to go play at the park? bring your dumbbells, live in a apartment with people living under you? Lift outside, want more space to run around? lift outside. My new favorite workouts include being outside, and the best part is my kids are right there with me playing, or working out with me. Let’s talk about a huge impression you are putting on your kids, by showing them how important your health is.

What do you have to give? do you spend hours and hours on social media? Can you wake up 30 minutes earlier? Can you do a workout while your kids are doing homework? maybe you take your kids to sports after work, guess what? bring your dumbbells and workout while you wait. Have a long lunch break? bring your dumbbells. Are you starting to see how easy it is to add a workout in? It all starts with you! yes it starts with you. If you want better health, better sleep, better appearance, the only person that can change all of this is you. So what’s it going to be? are you going to keep telling yourself you don’t have time? or making excuses why you can’t workout and be healthy? Be the change you want to see.

 

As you can see in this picture, my daughter is playing while i’m working out, I take my dumbbells to this outside gym on base, they play and I get to work on being the best version of myself. If you wan’t it bad enough you will find a way to turn your I can’t into I can, and I will!  I hope this gives you hope, and motivation to find time, make time, and put it to action.

Where’s my Joy

When we allow God to define our identity, what happened in our past isn’t nearly as important as what’s promised in our future.

How can you overcome heartache and despair? 

Your words were found, and I ate them; and your words were to me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by your name, the LORD, God of Hosts.

– Jeremiah 15:16

According to today’s verse, joy and delight come from devouring God’s Word. That means more than simply reading the Bible–we need to memorize it and meditate on it.

When you are in stormy seas of life, there comes One who can give you joy and peace. God’s Word is a joy – no matter what you’re going through.

This is hard for some people to do, when you’re going through a rough season, do you run and tell others, do you gossip about someone, do you seek help from a friend? The Bible tells us that we are to turn to the only one that can heal us and truly give us Joy. If we turn to his word and “ate” them as the verse is telling us, then we will receive Joy and the rejoicing of our hearts. All that is hurt, will be healed in your heart through Reading his word.

I pray that when you’re in a hard season, that you will turn to God to find joy!

Dear God,

Please help me draw near to You today and be a blessing to others!

I trust You completely.

Please give me a greater hunger for Your Word.

I ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Fat burning workout

Happy Tuesday! #tabatatuesday I love a quick high energy workout and TABATA does just that. Get’s that heart rate up and into the fat burning mode fast! and best thing is it keeps it going for hours after your workout. If you have never done a TABATA workout then your in for a real treat. Grab your water, and maybe a towel and lets get after it!!!!!

4 rounds, 10 sec rest between exercise 2X

Super-set 1

Burpee’s 20 seconds

Rest 10 sec

Medicine ball knee to chest 20 seconds

(can sub med ball for a foam roller, or something that will roll)

-if you don’t have a med ball to perform this you can either just do a plank hold, or mountain climbers for the 20 sec. If you do have a med ball then you will start in a plank with your feet on the ball and roll your knees into your chest. you will go in and out for the 20 seconds

Super-set 2

Med ball jumping sumo squat 20 seconds

(can sub Kettle bell, or dumbbell)

-for this you will start in a squat stance wider than your normal squat. med ball in front of you, you will perform jumping squats while holding the med ball. 

Rest 10 Sec

plank knee taps 20 seconds 

-for this you will hold a plank and bring your opposite elbow to opposite knee meeting in the middle. 

How this works is you will do 4 rounds of super-set 1, then rest 1 minute. Next you will do 4 rounds of super-set 2, then rest 1 minute. And then you will compete all of that for another round. So starting back at the top 4 rounds of super-set 1, with a 1 minute rest. Then 4 rounds of super-set 2

Preparing for adventure

Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.

-Psalm 119:18

We underestimate the power made available to us when we spend time with God. Have you ever thought to yourself how powerful our God actually is? Sometimes he really makes me laugh out loud. Like the times when I’m struggling with my husband and nothing I say gets through to him. I like to pray in the midst of a conversation, I used to get really mad and just yell back, or fight back with my words. However that gets us nowhere. Instead, when I’m upset about something i go straight to the Lord, it might be while driving, or cooking, or even doing nothing at all. The other day I couldn’t get anything across to my husband, and when I get mad I just stop talking, I mean like crickets there’s nothing coming out of my mouth now that you made me mad. However, I’m learning that if I pray about whatever it is, my husband and I are able to revisit the conversation and actually talk about it. God has been making me laugh with this very same thing. I prayed the other day about what my husband was doing that made me so upset, and not even 10 minutes later he walks into the kitchen and says the very thing I just prayed about! I know things don’t always happen fast when we pray, but man did God make me laugh when my husband came in and said just that of my prayers.

It’s time to stop feeling guilty and I’ll-equipped and start embracing the incredible privilege of meeting with Jesus every day. Most days before I start my time with the Lord, I pray a very simple prayer, that puts my heart into the right place with God.

God, I want to see you. God, I want to hear you. God, I want to know you. So that I can follow hard after you.

This prayer is not a magic formula, just four short sentences that perfectly express my desire to experience God throughout my day.

I want to see him working in me, around me, and through me. 

I want to hear his voice so clearly that I won’t doubt when he ask for my obedience.

I want to know him- not just facts about him- but really know him personally and intimately.

I want to follow hard after him, to be the woman he wants me to be in every circumstance of my day.

I don’t want to just read and pray to check it off my to-do list. In Psalm 119:18 “Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law” A request God delights in answering.

Fullness comes when we remember to be with him before going out to serve him

He appointed twelve that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach and to have authority to drive out demons

-Mark 3:14-15

I was doing a lot, pouring myself out for God, but not really spending time getting filled by God. Maybe you can relate?

We run around trying to do everything, and please everyone.  We say yes to volunteering and baking something for the kids school party, taking the kids to multiply after school sports or events. We fill our plates completely full. However were missing out on what God want’s for us, he wants us to slow down enough to receive from him. I don’t know about you, but I’m always praying for God to help me, help me with all of my daily task. I have a hard time saying no, and then end up overworked in the end. I love to serve, however I’m missing out on being served and left feeling empty. He really does have it all worked out. The gaps filled. The needs met. The questions answered. The problems solved.  And the parts he’s purposed for us? They’re all perfectly portioned out in assignments meant for us today. No more. No less. All he ask is that we personally receive from him BEFORE setting out to work for him. This is HUGE and I don’t want you to miss this. In doing so we are encouraged by his presence. This is the daily sacred exchange where ministry turns into pure delight. 

He is capable! We say we trust him but act like everything depends on us. We give all we have to the task at hand with only occasional leftovers of time slightly acknowledge him. It must break his heart when we work like we don’t believe he’s there to help us. Jesus doesn’t participate in the rat race. He’s into the slower rhythms of life like abiding, delighting,and dwelling. When Jesus appointed the disciples, there were two parts to their calling, as we see in Mark 3:14-15. Yes they were to go to preach and drive out demons, but FIRST they were called to be with him. Fullness comes when we remember to be with him before going out to serve him.

He wants our hearts in alignment with him before our hands set about doing today’s assignment for him.  We need to receive in prayer, worship, and truth from his word. Fix your eyes, not on a worldly prize, but on staying in love with me.

That’s an agenda that’s always completely satisfying.

30 minute body weight workout

On rare occasions when the weather is just right, I like to take my workout outside. This also means the little’s  will play while I’m working out. Also I’m blessed to have a free gym to go to when I feel like making the drive on base. Today we used the outside equipment. I absolutely love doing body weight workouts, today was a 20 minute circuit. If you don’t have access to a pull up bar you could sub dips instead. 

 

Every 2 minutes for 20 minutes total 
200 M Run
5 pull ups
10 push ups
15 air squats

If you are unable to keep up with the time, you can just do 10 rounds total, or stop after the clock beats you.

I added in a ab circuit afterwards, I did 2 rounds of
10 toes to bar
10 sec L hold
20 mountain climbers
10 around the world
10 plank up downs

Get outside and enjoy the nice fresh air! Hope you work up a sweat with this one.

How to get your child to eat better

I have been trying to get my kids to eat healthier. Last year was a really hard year for us. We were living with a relative, and I was working long crazy hours. I was always running around and never able to cook for them. Half the time we would eat breakfast in the car while we rushed running late to school. This had become our normal, I would tell my son that we would wake up early so I didn’t rush him. However that never happened, going to bed late from work always got the best of me. My husband was deployed, and I was trying to be both mom and dad to my kids, and I always fell short. I would beat myself up because I wasn’t spending time with my kids, they were at school and then I would rush them to a family members house while I went back to work that night. I wouldn’t get off until 9pm and then had to pick them up and rush back home to get them in bed. 

Family dinners? That word didn’t exist to us, heck family meals weren’t even present. It killed me that we never sat down and ate together, it’s funny because I would eat all my meals while driving rushing back and forth to pick them up and take them somewhere. Isn’t it crazy all the things we put on our plates? I’m talking the I can work a full time job while also being a single parent and of course y’all can play two sports that I’ll somehow manage to take you to. Yes I can volunteer to serve in the morning and afternoon at church on Sunday’s, I’m free that day. You see we end up hurting ourselves trying to do more than we were ever expected to. 

So back to getting my kids to eat healthy, with no sense of normal. My kids would just snack on anything and everything I would buy them. I would get so upset that my 3 year old wouldn’t eat a single meal! I mean literally, she would only snack. So I started to pack a lunchbox full of snacks to keep her happy through the day. If only they were healthy snacks, but it ended up being whatever was easier for me. I felt so defeated, so bad because I would eat so healthy, and then would just give them whatever I could to get them to eat. 

Fast forward to today, we moved into our own apartment since daddy came home!! Normal is still a issue with him still being on a aircraft carrier, and working a crazy schedule. However I have managed to make a normal routine at home. I’m not working this time and I’m able to spend the entire day with my kids. My favorite thing to do is cook, and I’m happy to say I’m able to cook 3 healthy meals a day and sit down at the table to enjoy it with my family. 

Things I have found that worked for us, slowly changing their foods. This is the biggest recommendation I can give y’all who are wanting to change your diet. I start by swapping out their snack foods, I let them pick a fruit that they would like to try and that becomes their snack for the week. After making the switch with their snack I moved onto adding veggies to their dinner, either a salad on the side, or baking veggie chips. They love the salads, they see me eating them and slowly started asking for some of mine 🙂 winning! I’m going to be taking out more and more, and keep improving their meals. 

Sugary drinks! My 3 year old drinks apple juice like its water. Getting her off Apple juice has been a bit of a struggle, However we’re making progress. She loves green tea, I started making her decaf green tea and slowly I’ve been able to switch it for the apple juice. I have noticed a huge difference in her mood/ behavior! She always wants to try what I’m drinking so I give her my smoothies with coconut water and greens and she’s loving it. We call it hulk juice and she’s excited to drink it. Make these new changes fun for them and they will be excited to try them. 

 

Swap out a sugary drink for a healthy tea

There’s hope moms! With a few changes and a bit of normal you can do it as well. I hope you are able to make some changes to your toddlers nutrition!

30 minute at home workouts

Hey y’all! I’m here to share some at home workouts you can do while you’re little one takes a nap! Raise a hallelujah to that !

I’ve always loved a good workout, but with being a stay at home mom I thought I would have to give up my love for going to the gym. I’ve found a way to bring the gym home! I’ll be sharing daily at home workouts that you can do with little to no equipment, and get it all in while you’re precious little one sleeps.

4 Dumbbell Step Up Overs

A devil press is BASICALLY a burpee with dumbbells in your hands.  You do a push up with hands on the dumbbells, jump or step the feet in.  Pick the dumbbells up from between the feet with heels down and arms straight (keep the back flat!!).  Use the power from the legs and the hips to basically complete a combination KB Swing – clean and jerk – snatch.

4 ways to a productive day

Here are 4 ways I start everyday

1. Pray- I start out every morning praying for my day, before I get out of bed I pray for what is in store for me.

2. Devotional- Starting you’re day in God’s word is a much more productive way to get your day going. Think about it, if you start out on facebook, or instagram that is going to set your mood for the day. Don’t believe me? when you start on facebook and instantly see all the bad news, or people sharing negative things its going to put you in a negative state of mind. You are more likely to feed off the bad of the world, instead of making good. Instagram is great, however if you compare yourself to others, its setting you up for a bad morning. How you ask? well let’s say you look through all you’re friends pictures before getting ready for school, and you’re friends are all sharing pictures in their new clothes, and how good they look. You are instantly trying to look better, or have nicer things than them. If you simply start out by reading a daily devotional, you are getting the truth of God’s word, and are able to relate to what he has for you. You are starting you’re day with positive thinking, and hope for the day.

3. Breakfast- Yum!! how people skip eating? I will never understand how one can simply forget to eat. I mean I wake up ready to eat, maybe I love food more than them? idk however I simply won’t skip eating. You can’t be you’re best if you’re not you’re best, you get out of what you put in. To stay healthy, you simply need to be eating the right foods, and feeding your brain, you won’t have energy for your day if your skipping meals.

4. Chores- yes you read that right, I said chores!! I know not everyone loves to clean, or thinks it’s something that’s going to make your day better. However if you make the time to clean, and put things where they go, you are actually saving time later in the day when you are tired after work, or tired after being with your kids. If you simply clean as you go, or make it a daily routine to keep up with cleaning it takes less time, and you are left with a clean, happy home. My kids know how much I can’t stand clutter. my youngest is Four and she always say’s mommy doesn’t like it messy. And it’s true, I can’t function when things are messy. It’s easier to cook when the kitchen is clean and I know where everything is, it’s easier to get the kids ready when I know where their clothes and shoes are, it’s easier to go to the store when I know what’s in my pantry. It’s something that is important for me to be able to do all i need to do when things are in place. 




I know there are many other ways you can start you’re day, but these are by far my favorite and what I have found that work’s best for my family and I. I hope this helps you get in a better routine, and can benefit from this. Comment and let me know if this helps you, Have a blessed day!

Reap what you Sow

It may seem common sense to say “you reap what you sow” but it is amazing how many of us still don’t get it! We understand that when you plant corn, you can’t expect watermelons to grow. But we don’t seem to understand that what our lives produce is usually a direct reflection on what we planted. Think about it in every area of your life as this, you get out what you put in.

Eat unhealthy foods, and you will reap that of sickness and disease, What you put in your body will either come out being good for you of long lasting health. But put in unhealthy foods, and you will suffer sickness, being unfilled and left unsatisfied. It says in 1 Corinthians 10:31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. And then in 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 it says, Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s spirit dwells in you? if anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.

If you sow seeds of rage and anger, you will reap a harvest of war! if you have ever thought that your house felt like a war zone, then stop to see who is planting seeds of anger ( it may very well be you). I know this all to well, and it took me some time to actually see. However I came to realize that when I’m full of anger, it comes off onto everyone in my house. When I take my anger out on my Kids, I see them acting in the same behavior when things don’t go their way. It’s funny to me that we may not see things in ourselves until we see it coming out of our children. And then we wonder where they got that? Start looking at yourself and you will soon find all the answers. James 1:19-20 says “Know this, my beloved brothers: Let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

On the other hand, if you sow seeds of tenderness and forgiveness, you’re likely to reap a harvest of peace! Think about it, when you are giving tenderness and forgiveness out to those around you, you will receive the same back in return. When I’m forgiving of my husband when he does wrong, he then forgives me when I same something unkind. When i act out in tenderness towards my kids, they are left with love instead of anger for messing up. Think, does our Heavenly Father yell at us when we make a mistake? or does he simply love us, and want to help us? Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to on another, tenderhearted forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Sow seeds of ignorance, and you will reap a harvest of sin. you cannot be lazy about learning without sinfulness being the result! Hosea 4:1-2, 6 “Hear the word of the Lord, O children of Israel, for the LORD has a controversy with the inhabitants of the land. There is no faithfulness or steadfast love, and no knowledge of God in the land; there is swearing, lying, murder, stealing, and committing adultery; they break all bounds, and bloodshed follows bloodshed. my people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children”

But when you sow seeds of training and learning, you will reap a harvest of wisdom and righteousness. Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it” This is one of my favorite verses in the Bible. If I sow seeds of God, and living a christian life into my kids they will reap it later in life. If I “train” them knowing God, and reading his word, they will not depart even when they are old. I love knowing in his word if I train them knowing they are safe,loved,cared for, forgiven, never alone, to have faith not fear. That they wont’t go looking for that, they will always have it with them through Christ.

But if you sow seeds of hard work and sacrifice, you are a lot more likely to reap a harvest of plenty! Obviously not everyone who works hard and sacrifices has plenty, but it is nearly guaranteed that you will NOT have plenty if you don’t work hard and sacrifice! proverbs 14:23 “in all toil there is profit but mere talk tends only to poverty”

Those are just a few examples to think about. When you don’t like what you life is producing start looking at what your planting!

God’s Grace

God gave the Law to Moses and the Israelites for many reasons.

The law provided health and hygiene safety measures, set up a fair and just judicial system, provided a code of ethics and moral standards, provided boundaries (both tangible and intangible), and to prove that without a Savior Redeemer, we cannot possibly enter into the presence of God. Our sin is too high and too impossible on our own.

Often, however, people choose to acknowledge only that last reason—our need for a Savior. Now while I would certainly not argue that this is the most important reason, it isn’t the only reason. And since God saw fit to include these other elements, we need to give them the attention and obedience they deserve.

Jesus was adamant in saying He didn’t come to abolish the Law, but to fulfill it; meaning He was (and still is) the Redeemer Savior; taking away the need for sacrifices.

But the health/hygiene, judicial, and moral and ethical aspects of the Law remained in place. Murder, incest, greed, adultery, stealing, cheating…all of these things are still wrong.

We are still bound to the obedience of God’s Word and Law. But praise God we have been given the gift of eternal life with God and Jesus because of God’s grace. He removed the barriers between Him and us that were impossible for us to break through on our own.

So don’t discount the Law as anything. Know that much of it carries forward into the New Testament and the doctrine of the Church.

Just be prayerfully wise; being careful to know that you are saved because of God’s grace through faithful obedience and worship.

Dear God,

Thank You for your Son, Jesus.

Thank You for the gift of salvation.

Help me honor that gift by being obedient and faithful to your commands.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace:”

“But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.””‭‭James‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭

What this means is that God has already given you grace just by believing in him. God’s grace is that he loves you and is there for you despite the fact that you’re a sinner. You just have to choose to put that grace first in your life. God’s grace means he’s looking out for you and you are saved because of this. But while it’s important to acknowledge that grace, there’s so much more to grace than just accepting that love. 

When you think of a graceful person, who do you think of? 

They’re kind to everyone, they say the right things, and they never miss a step Whether it be out on the dance floor or just merely in the presence of strangers, having grace is very admirable. But it’s really easy to feel like you’re not a graceful person just because of the way you move and speak. It’s even easier to say that you don’t have grace within you because you have a rocky relationship with God. Newsflash: you don’t have to be a talented dancer, eloquent speaker, or even a perfect Christian to be considered graceful. 

It’s so easy to be petty and cruel and let horrible thoughts control you because your feelings have been hurt or you feel betrayed. Trust me, I know. But being graceful and living with grace mean that you put that grace before these other emotions because grace is much more important. It means gracefully letting things go that are not meant for you. It means going beyond your inclinations of trying to get the upper hand or revenge on someone who hurt you. Having grace in your heart and soul is choosing to be the bigger person. It is acting like a lady and understanding that having mean thoughts doesn’t mean you have to act on them. No one is perfect or acts like a complete angel all the time. However, being graceful means that you put your best intentions forward with everyone despite what you have heard or what they have done to you.
